My research is focussed on my living-theory of caring as mutuality from the perspective of having been a child in care who has gone on to have a happy and successful life which is not the norm for people with my background. Focussing on what values I gained and the experiences I had on being in care has inspired me to help others in my career which has particularly focussed on carers for the last 15 years. As I have sought to improve my practice I have identified that I feel most fulfilled when there is mutuality in the caring relationships I have as a practitioner, leader, researcher as well as in my personal relationships.
You can read the development of my ideas through my papers at . I am currently enrolled on my Ph.D. at the University of Cumbria.
I am currently a digital nomad supporting charities with fundraising and development from wherever I am in the world.
